Saturday, March 29, was the 23rd annual Sacramento Cesar Chavez March and Rally in Southside Park. Several hundred people joined the march and then spent the rest of the day listening to speakers and visiting the booths. This was Peace and Freedom Party's 23rd year marching and tabling at these events.
Several activists from SEIU 1000, other unions, and community organizations, including Peace and Freedom Party, which was also attempting to requalify for the ballot, organized the first event. Except for a pause during COVID-19, these marches and rallies have been an annual event.
