Peace & Freedom Party’s co-sponsored Suds, Snacks & Socialism monthly forum series is back at Starry Plough Pub in Berkeley (3101 Shattuck Avenue; click here for map) on Saturday, April 1. All are welcome to discuss the topic What are the Prospects for World Peace?

(Can’t participate in person? Join the forum online! Click here to register.)

As the U.S. and other NATO countries send more weapons to Ukraine in response to Russia’s invasion, we could be facing the most dangerous situation since the Cuban Missile Crisis. The world seems to be breaking into two warring camps, one led by the United States and the other by Russia and China. Seemingly unreachable, the potential for nuclear attack and environmental destruction make peace necessary for everyone's survival.

Join our panelists to discuss the present situation and what it would take to create the peaceful world we need.

At the turn of the 20th century, socialist women in the U.S. and in Europe separately proposed a Women’s Day to promote equality in the trade union and socialist movements. The first International Women’s Day was held on March 19, 1911. It was changed to March 8 in 1913, four years before Petrograd women textile workers struck for peace and bread.

Serving as moderator is Marsha Feinland of PFP.

The program will start promptly at 2:30pm PT and is expected to wrap up by 4:30pm. To join the forum, click here or write This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for login instructions.

In California, voter registration is very important to political parties. The very existence of a political party as “ballot-qualified” is determined by the number of votes its statewide candidates receive or by the number of voters registered with the party. As the only feminist socialist political party on the California ballot, it is imperative that the Peace and Freedom Party continues as a qualified party.

Quite simply, the Peace and Freedom Party will not be able to provide Californians with candidates that will represent us unless we register and vote Peace and Freedom.

For all the information you need on registering to vote, visit the California Secretary of State's homepage at SOS.Ca.gov or just click here.

Thank you for registering Peace and freedom Party, and thank you for your vote!
