It was 114oF on Labor Day in Sacramento, but the Sacramento Central Labor Council held their annual picnic at Fairytale Town in Land Park. Because of the record-setting temperature, there were fewer people participating than usual but the 100 or so in attendance were enthusiastic.

Several candidates showed to pledge their loyalty to workers. As usual, Peace and Freedom Party had a table and passed out our Workers' Election Guide.
