Peace & Freedom Party’s co-sponsored Suds, Snacks & Socialism monthly forum series continues via Zoom on Saturday, January 7, with the discussion topic Election 2022: What Does it Mean for the Socialist Left?

The Democrats are rejoicing that they lost fewer congressional seats than had been predicted. The Republicans are ready to scuttle any meager reforms that are proposed. Donald Trump’s political career seems to be imploding, but his base is still there. Join us to discuss what it will take to change this dreary picture and build towards a socialist future.

Guest speakers include:

  • Howie Hawkins – environmental activist, trade unionist and Green Party candidate for US president in 2020 who plans to run again in 2024; and
  • Gwen McLaughlin –San Francisco Democratic Socialists of America electoral board member, field director for Yes on M! Fill Empty Homes Campaign.

Serving as moderator is Marsha Feinland of PFP.

The program will start promptly at 2:30pm PT and is expected to wrap up by 4:30pm. To join the forum, click here or write This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for login instructions.

In California, voter registration is very important to political parties. The very existence of a political party as “ballot-qualified” is determined by the number of votes its statewide candidates receive or by the number of voters registered with the party. As the only feminist socialist political party on the California ballot, it is imperative that the Peace and Freedom Party continues as a qualified party.

Quite simply, the Peace and Freedom Party will not be able to provide Californians with candidates that will represent us unless we register and vote Peace and Freedom.

For all the information you need on registering to vote, visit the California Secretary of State's homepage at SOS.Ca.gov or just click here.

Thank you for registering Peace and freedom Party, and thank you for your vote!
