WIEDMAIER FOR STATE ASSEMBLY. Bradley Wiedmaier is running for State Assembly in District 17, basically the eastern half of San Francisco. He urgently needs write-in votes in the present primary election, so that he can face the incumbent in November. There are five write-in candidates, including a Republican, but Bradley has a good chance of beating the others because there are very few Republicans in the 17th District. If you live in the district, you should write in his name below the name of the incumbent on the ballot, and be careful to mark the ballot next to his name as you do for the other candidates you choose. Please spread the word!
In early May when I saw that my California Assembly District 17 had only one unopposed major party candidate, I decided to run a write-in campaign for working people. My write-in campaign is a stepping stone to engaging more Californians in our collective governance. We must shift the political paradigm from carrier politicians who go to funders, make promises, and then come to the electorate. We need to build a popular assembly model to bring to our communities and our labor unions, a forum for political organization. There are deepening assaults on our communities, and we can help organize the coming ground swell response and encourage new layers of political fightback. Please tell your AD 17 San Francisco bay side (eastern half) resident friends, to write-in Bradley Wiedmaier for the California Assembly District 17. Let's Fix It, by taking this step on the road to justice!

The time for a Wealth Tax has arrived and the numbers in the general population has been reported as 77% to tax extreme wealth. Even with Republicans, support has been reported at 64% to Tax the Billionaires. We can mobilize and meet labor activists to join together in committees in labor and in the community to encourage the unions to unite on the statewide Wealth Tax like it has in the June primary Proposition D Tax in San Francisco.
I hope to take the call for Labor and Community committees to take up the campaign and organizing for the Billionaire Tax Act Initiative as a central theme for the California Assembly District 17 Campaign here in San Francisco. We can make new unity with labor militants through this critical crisis in healthcare funding and lay a strong foundation to move forward with labor free from the Democratic Bosses move to block this chance for historic tax justice.
I look forward to giving labor new insight to alternatives to its capture by Democratic Party politics that have disarmed working people by blocking independent politics, and insisting there are no other roads than the weak Democratic route in our politics.
There will be a world of issues in addition to the Billionaire Tax Act, but for the Assembly District 17 Campaign, I see the Tax fight as a central issue this fall.
Let's Fix It. We can help labor break out of the mire while introducing new partnerships for Peace & Freedom to progress forward.
